How has the reception of JesusCat been?
JesusCat has been received very well by audiences and better-than-expected by film festivals. We’ve gotten really positive responses from people who have seen the film, and we’re happy to know that people other than us find it funny. Our one and only written review by Misty Lane of Rogue Cinema stated, “Considering the improvisational aspect of it and the low budget, it’s phenomenally well done. This is a comedian’s comedy, a comedy done right and one movie you should all check out.” Given the no-budget aspect and the unconventional format, we weren’t really expecting to get into any film festivals when we started submitting. But we did – the Los Angeles Comedy Festival and the Action on Film International Film Festival in 2013, then next at the Asians On Film Festival on February 15th in North Hollywood, CA. We’ve had a good amount of unexpected success with the project over the last year.
